Clay Play V2, Soft Square Gallery
May 13 - May 25 2021

Clay Play V2 is an installation that examines the materiality of clay through a digital lens. Using a flatbed scanner and clay bodies, it captures images that act as imprints of the material itself.

Rooted in play and spontaneity, the work challenges conventional boundaries of ceramic art—exploring both the behavior of clay and its significance when translated into a digital format.

Ultimately, Clay Play V2 seeks to investigate the tensions between nature and technology, along with themes of preservation and ephemerality.
